The Children's Service
& Youth Group Meeting
Our Children's service and Youth class resume
Sunday 1st September.
Children's Service (ages 7-14)
The Sunday Service for children is a short, age-appropriate ritual that takes place in the chapel before the altar for children between the ages of seven and fourteen. It is the heart of our work with our children.
Youth Group meeting
From confirmation age onwards (from 14 years old) we acknowledge the special period of life when a child steps out from the golden light raying out of childhood towards the light of adulthood, mingling with the shadows. Swirling passions rising up in teenage years can mean being tempted to lose oneself to forces that swing between the heights of joy and ecstasy, and the depths of pain and suffering. Developing in wisdom and maturity acknowledges a world where conflicts and struggles exist (especially those rising up within our soul) and finding true strength to face them with equanimity. These conflicts help shape us into a balanced individual I-being, when we know when and where to seek the right support. All are welcome.
